Four specialists, two teams. In the HANSEATICUM WEST, our center for orthopaedics, trauma, hand and plastic-aesthetic surgery, Dr Cornelius Grüber, Dr Adrian Schmidt, Dr Sonja Tomschik and Andreas Westenhoff (from left to right) take care of your health. Their spectrum includes all statutory health insurance services and innovative therapy procedures. In the private practice HANSEATICUM- Center for Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery in Hamburg on the grounds of the UKE, Dr Tomschik and Dr Grüber accompany patients on their way to a more beautiful self.

Our many years of specialist training make us specialists in several fields. We are constantly educating ourselves and are always up to date with the latest scientific findings.
PLASTIC-AESTHETIC SURGERY
As experts in reconstructive surgery after breast tumours, accidents or in the case of congenital malformations, we work closely with gynaecologists and oncologists. You are also in experienced hands with us for all elective operations and anti-ageing therapies on the body and face: Eyelid lifts, face and neck lifts, breast augmentations and reductions, liposuction, upper arm and thigh lifts and hand surgery.
In the field of minimally invasive procedures, our main focus is on wrinkle injections with autologous fat and fillers, as well as treatments with growth factors and thread lifting.
SPORT MEDICINE
A special core competence of our practice is the care of sports medicine injuries and complaints. We use a variety of efficient methods for holistic therapy, e.g. manual therapy (chiropractic), trigger point acupuncture, kinesio-taping, insole care, innovative injection therapies with PRP (autologous blood), fillers and autologous fat.
We try to avoid surgical interventions as far as possible, but - if necessary - you can rely on our many years of experience. After acute care, our commitment continues: as sports physicians for the 1st men's hockey team of the GTHGS, we know how important it is to provide athletes with close support during reintegration after an injury.
ORTHOPAEDICS/ACCIDENT SURGERY
We are specialists for all disorders and injuries of the musculoskeletal system, including after accidents. Our claim is individualised, holistic medicine. As comprehensively trained specialists, we have a wide range of treatments at our disposal. This includes conservative procedures such as manual therapy (chiropractic), trigger point acupuncture, kinesio-taping, insole care as well as innovative injection therapies with PRP (autologous blood), fillers and autologous fat.
Other focal points are the surgical treatment of complaints and injuries with minimally invasive procedures (arthroscopy), endoprosthetics of the knees, hips, shoulders, fingers and toes, and especially the hands and feet.

Seven and a half kilometres separate our practice HANSEATICUM WEST from the HANSEATICUM at the UKE, our center for plastic-aesthetic and reconstructive surgery in Hamburg - a daily stone's throw for two of our specialists. Dr Sonja Tomschik and Dr Cornelius Grüber are the experts for all plastic-aesthetic and reconstructive operations as well as minimally invasive procedures at both locations. Dr Grüber is also an orthopaedic surgeon and trauma surgeon with an additional qualification in sports traumatology.
Together with Dr Adrian Schmidt and Andreas Westenhoff, medical specialists in orthopaedics, Dr Tomschik and Dr Grüber also treat patients in the HANSEATICUM WEST. The focus of this specialist practice is on orthopaedics and trauma surgery, sports medicine, hand and foot surgery, acupuncture and chiropractic as well as plastic and aesthetic surgery. The practice, which is equipped according to the latest standards and has its own operating theatre, is also a proven contact point for occupational and school accidents.
